Carol A. Newman
, Attorney at Law, was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She is a graduate of St. Joseph Academy, a magna cum laude graduate from the University of New Orleans, and a 1984 Loyola Law School graduate receiving her juris doctorate degree.   Ms. Newman began her private law practice in 1985 and has obtained extensive experience in the area of real estate law, providing closing services from a wide range of clients, such as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, the Port of New Orleans, Habitat for Humanity, Neighborhood Development Foundation, the Housing Authority of New Orleans, numerous community development foundations, and thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions. Because of her 27 years of experience and her commitment to the integrity of the law, Attorney Newman has been recognized by several State Courts as an expert witness in the area of real estate law. She has been a faculty member at numerous continuing legal education seminars speaking on such topics as "Wills and Estate Planning." "How to Prepare a HUD-1 Settlement Statement,"  "Real Estate Closings," etc..  Ms. Newman also has extensive experience in the area of Wills and Estates.  Attorney Newman litigates cases involving real estate, wills, the administration of estates, interdictions, tutorships, and other related matters.  Ms. Newman is also a licensed title insurance agent for Fidelity/Commonwealth Title Insurance Company, providing title insurance coverage to thousands of homeowners throughout the State of Louisiana.  Attorney Newman is very active in the local community.  She is the Vice-President of the American Business Women's Association/LeCapitale Chapter (Baton Rouge), a member of the Property Advisory Committee for The Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans, an Executive Board Member of The Louisiana Homebuyer Training Collaborative, LLC, and a member of The Louisiana Homebuyer Training Certification Committee.
